The University of the East (UE) Red Warriors beat the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) Blue Eagles, in a thrilling 2-point margin score, 79-77, last Thursday (September 6)
In a last quarter, 0.4-second run for victory, Chris Javier gave his team victory with a two-point shot against defending champion and season 75 big-bet Ateneo Blue Eagles.
Prior the triumphant win, Ateneo point guard Kiefer Ravena led the team to a strugglng draw, 77-77. with 7.2 seconds left. UE then requested for a timeout to plan their last move, after which Javier made the last kill.
This brings UE's standing to 3 wins and 8 losses. Meanwhile, Ateneo incurs another loss handing them a current 9-win, 2-loss record. Studio 23 will be airing the replay of the Ateneo vs UE match this Saturday, September 8 at 9:30 PM.
