LIST | Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2015 winners


Rom-com film Walang Forever reigned in the recently held Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2015 awards night which was held at the Kia Theater in Cubao on Sunday. Walang Forever won five (5) major awards: Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Original Story, Best Screenplay, and Best Picture prizes.

Cesar Montano's film Nilalang also received five (5) major awards --- Best Festival Sound, Best Festival Musical Score, Best Festival Visual Effects, Best Festival Editing, and Best Festival Cinematography.

John Lloyd Cruz-starrer Honor Thy Father also took home five (5) major awards including Best Child Performer, Best Festival Original Theme Song, Best Festival Make Up Artist, Best Supporting Actor, and the highly coveted Best Director award.

My Bebe Love, which is Alden Richards' and Maine Mendoza's first movie together as a love team, won three (3) major awards --- Best Supporting Actress, Gatpuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award, and 3rd Best Picture.

Meanwhile Buy Now, Die Later also received Best Festival Production Design and 2nd Best Picture awards.

It's noticeable that cash cows Beauty and the Bestie, All You Need is Pag-ibig, and Haunted Mansion didn't bring home any award.

VIRAL | Miss Universe crowning mistake parody trends

A 4-minute video uploaded by a certain Facebook user, Benedict Togonon Tan, has gone viral after it shows a parody of the controversial Miss Universe pageant title announcement error.

In the parody of the Miss Universe mis-crowning moment, the comedian who took the role of host Steve Harvey sang to the tune of Justin Bieber’s Sorry, which was then followed by the response of Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez with the JB's song What Do You Mean after being wrongleygiven the title of Miss Universe.

The character of Miss Philippine Pia Wurtzbach in the video went back to take the crown with an Adele hit Hello.
