SCIENCE | What does planet Pluto actually look like?

Ever since I've seen it in science books and magazines, I've always thought that Pluto (classically, the 9th planet in the solar system) was an icy pale blue world, but I was wrong.

The New Horizons spacecraft, which was launched in 2006, was sent to look into the Earth's neighboring planets. It was able to come close to the planetoid Pluto at 12,500 km, or approximately 1,413 times the height of Mount Everest! Shown below is the actual image (color, texture)  of Pluto.

New Horizons is now on its way to the Kuiper belt to further explore our solar system. It is expected that in 16 months, all data and images during the Pluto flyby have been received by NASA stations on Earth. And by that time, things will be a bit more exciting!

But there's more to Pluto than just being a ball of matter, it's also now becoming a meme!

PBB 737 | Kamille, Ryan, Ylona, Zonia nominees for Big Brother house eviction

PBB 737: 4 housemates nominated for eviction

Four Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) 737 housemates were nominated on July 11 (Sat) for eviction next week.

Big Brother announced a "Harapang Nominasyon" in which housemates will select the top choices who deserve to stay in the Big Brother house; those with the lowest number of votes will then be nominated for eviction.

In this twist, “Kid Sunshine ng Cebu” Ryan Bacalla, "Global Gwapito ngUK" Bailey Thomas May, "Blossoming Beauty ng Quezon City" Zonia Ysabel Mejia, “Teen Mama ng Manila” Kamille Filoteo and “Daldal Darling ng Australia” Ylona Garcia got the lowest votes.

A "Lig-Task" challenge, which made use of a piggy bank, led to 3rd-time nominee Bailey getting immunity from his nomination when he obtained 1100 points.

This left four (4) official PBB 737 nominees namely Ryan, Zonia, Kamille, and Ylona. Who gets to be saved by the public? Let's see.
