Take Off is the latest aspirant/competitor to be eliminated in the X Factor Philippines 5th live show held yesterday September 2, 2012 at the PAGCOR Grand Theater.
The group was beaten by a 3.4% vote margin garnered by also-bottom performer Joan. This brings the list of X Factor competitors to seven: Joan Da (Pilita's Over 25s category), Allen Sta. Maria and KZ Tandingan (both from Charice's Girls category), Daddy's Home (from Gary V's Groups category), Jeric Medina, Kedebon Colim, and Gabriel Maturan (all three from Martin's Boys category)
Joan performed Bruno Mars’ Grenade, while Take Off sang Ogie Alcasid’s Sa Kanya.
Votes were considered as an apparent deadlock in the judges' decisions was resulted. Here are the comments of the X Factor Philippines judges.
Ms. Pilita Corales – “I want Take Off to go home.”
Gary V. – “Two contestants were great, Joan you need to go home tonight.”
Charice Pemppengco – “Para sa akin honestly, kayong anim. Performance wise halos pareho, this is your second time Joan, and I think Take should go home.”
Martin Nievera – “Tama si Charice, pareho kayong magaling, yun lang mahirap ditto, as much as I love Joan, I think Joan needs to go home tonight.”
