After ending in a draw in its game with Cambodia in Phnom Penh, the Philippine Azkals won their friendly match against strong team Singapore at the Jurong West Stadium on Friday (September 7).
The 2-0 win was led by Azkals players Chieffy Caligdong and Phil Younghusband.
In the past 14 matches it had with the Singaporean team, the Azkals managed just two draws while the rest were losses. The addition of Paul Mulders, Neil Etheridge, Stephan Schrock and Jerry Lucena was said to have increased the team's performance.
On Monday, September 10, the Philippine Azkals is set to travel to Laos for another friendly at the National Stadim in Vientiane. The series of friendlies is conducted in preparetion for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2012 which will commence on November 24, 2012.
