Initial reports from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismmology (Phivolcs) show that a magnitude 5.9 quake struck off Sultan Kudarat Monday afternoon.
Time of strike is around 2:49 PM Manila time, with epicenter estimated at 67 kilometers northwestwest of Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat.
The Mindanao earthquake, which followed a magnitude 7.6 quake off Eastern Samar, was felt in Cotobato City (intensity 4), Maguindanao (intensity 3), Kidapawan City (intensity 2) in Sultan Kudarat, and Zamboanga City in Zamboanga peninsula.
There are no reports of immediate damage as of posting time.
