Once you register your business name appropriately in DTI, SEC or CDA, suited on whether it is a sole proprietorship, a partnership/corporation, or a cooperative, you have to get a business permit and license at the municipality/city where your business will be put up.

The requirements that must be fulfilled (if applicable) in order to get a business permit and license from the municipality or city are the following:

  1. DTI or SEC registration
  2. SSS Registration
  3. Certificate / Articles of Incorporation
  4. Community  Tax Certificate
  5. Barangay Clearance
  6. Location Clearance
  7. Fire Safety / Inspection Permit
  8. Electrical Inspection Certificate
  9. Certificate of Occupancy
  10. Building Permit
  11. Contract of Lease
  12. Site Picture / Sketch
  13. Public Liability Insurance (for cinemas, malls, restaurants)
The city/municipality/town business permit will be valid for 1 year, so yearly renewal should be expected.
