#AlDub: Eat Bulaga AGB Nielsen and Kantar ratings skyrocket, Its Showtime in trouble

#AlDub Update: Alden and Yaya Dub's first close encounter in Eat Bulaga's "Bulaga Pa More, Dabarkads Pa More" portion last September 5, 2015 (Saturday) brought its rival show It's Showtime down to its knees as the former cornered 39.5% viewership in Mega Manila compared to the latter's 8.7%, according to TV programs ratings monitor AGB Nielsen.

Nationwide, Eat Bulaga had 30.2% of total viewers monitored by AGB Nielsen, more than double that obtained by It's Showtime with 13.1% viewership. At that time, the GMA noontime show ranked number 1 most watched daytime program.

The ratings pull of #AlDub was also demonstrated in data provided by Kantar, as Eat Bulaga took 28.2% nationwide vs It's Showtime with 14.4% last Saturday.

Eat Bulaga's hashtag #ALDUBBattleForACause trended nationwide and beat the worldwide record with more than 5 million accumulated tweets.
