The Commission on Audit (COA) has revealed the top 10 highest paid government executives in the Philippines last year (2011) including those working at government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs).
Topping the list of most paid government employees in 2011 is Governor Tetangco of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) with P10.579 million. Among the top 10 paid executives, three came from BS, two came from Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), four came from Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), and one came from the Philippine National Construction Corporation (PNCC).

- Robert G. Vergara (P8.32 million) - GSIS (President and General Manager)
- Nora Saludares (P7.64 million) - GSIS (Vice-President)
- Luis F. Sison (P7.593 million) - Philippine National Construction Corporation (President and Chief Executive Officer, CEO)
- Benedicto Ernesto R. Bitonio Jr. (P7.588 million) - Development Bank of the Philippines (Executive Vice-President)
- Juan de Zuñiga Jr. (P7.404 million) - Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (Deputy Governor)
