According to the latest list released by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), University of the Philippines (UP) ranked 34th in the Top 50 Best English-teaching schools in the world.
Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) also got in at the 2011 World University Rankings, ranked 35th.
Moreover, two other Philippine schools were included in the top 150 list. De La Salle University (DLSU) is made it into the 51-100 bracket while University of Santo Tomas (UST) is at the 101-150 bracket.
Topping the list is Harvard University of the United States followed by two British schools, University of Oxford (2nd) and University of Cambridge (3rd).
National University of Singapore (NUS) ranked best among Asian schools in the 2011 list ranking at no. 16; this is followed by Peking University in China at no. 19, and the Univeristy of Tokyo in Japan at no. 20.
