The Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) on Monday announced fares at Metro Rail Transit Line 3 will increase by at least P10 next year.
Secretary Joseph Emilio Abaya said the end-to-end fare for MRT 3 would likely climb to P25 once the government reduces its subsidy (currently P75 billion) to the train line. As of the moment, the maximum fare for an MRT 3 ride from North Edsa (QC) to Taft Avenue (Pasay) or vice versa is P15.
