With the best and the brightest
dancers and choreographers of the UP StreetDance Club (UP SDC) all
joining forces under one elite name, 'The Crew'
defeated more than 2,000 of the world best streetdance groups. Around
40 countries from all over the world competed in the 2012 Hip Hop Dance
Competition in Las Vegas last August 1-5, 2012.
Aside
from 'The Crew", the Philippines was also represented by four other
streetdance groups. The UP StreetDance Club won 3rd place in the
Megacrew category. Other great teams that raised the flag are the La
Salle Dance Company (LSDC), Fresh Flow, Legit Status, and former
champion - The Philippine Allstars.
The
Crew's performance, which can be seen below, was a mix of traditional
competition routine ('cause I have seen some of the moves applied in UP
SDC's dance entries) and perfectionist snappy deliveries.
Congratulations to 'The Crew'! And to everyone who joined, you are
amazing! Thank you for telling the world once more that we are great!
