I came across this song by Sarah Geronimo. It''s called "Kilometro". The beats and Musicality poured into this pop song really tells me that OPM might just have the best days coming!

Popular actor-singer James Reid also launched an OPM song "Wag Ka Nang Humirit" and I found the song really catchy. I'd say it's because of the lyrics and great accompanying tune. :)

Good News: Sarah Geronimo to play as Rapunzel in Disney Channel Asia's 12 Days of Princess

Looks like we Filipinos are lucky to hear this first great news of the year! It's a brand new day to celebrate and extend New Year's Eve celebration!

Philippine pop superstar Sarah Geronimo has been cast as one of the princesses, Fearless Princess (Rapunzel), in Disney Channel Asia's 12 Days of Princess.

Just as the New Year was about to rush in, did Disney Channel Asia provide glimpses of the princesses of 12 Days of Princess.

Good News: Sarah Geronimo nominated in 2013 World Music Awards

After getting nominated in the recently concluded Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, PH Pop Star Sarah Geronimo was again nominated by an international award-giving body - this time, in the 2013 World Music Awards (WMA), which recognizes the best of the best-selling recording artists from all over the world.

Sarah Geronimo is one of the nominees who clashes head-to-head with international singers and artists like Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Pink, Nicki Minaj, Adele, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, and Christina Aguilera, among others.

The World Music Awards website posted that “the world's best-selling recording-artists in each category are determined by a thorough enquiry conducted by the organization which includes sales figures and record certifications in 2012.”

Sarah G got three (3) WMA nominations namely:

• World’s Best Female Artist
• World’s Best Live Act
• World’s Best Entertainer of the Year

The World Music Awards began in 1989 and became instrumental in helping many upcoming artists reach global stardom. The WMA committee has revealed that fans and supporters have the final say as to who will get the award and that no jury will be involved.

“There is no jury involved and the Awards truly reflect the most popular artists as they are determined by the actual fans who vote and buy the records. The national member groups of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) provide the organization with the names of the best-selling artists from the major territories,” it said.

Sarah Geronimo possible to perform in the 55th Grammy Awards? Not true.

It was earlier reported it websites that our very own Sarah Geronimo is one of several foreign artists whom the Grammy Awards committee would like to see perform in its 55th awarding ceremony. This was allegedly also confirmed in a breaking news tweet set out by ABS-CBN (through @KGoldOFFICIAL).

Viva Boss, however, squishes the rumour

“Hindi ko alam kung saan galing yan. Kausap ko nga si Sarah at wala kaming information tungkol diyan. Malamang kuryente yan.”

Viva Entertainment’s Vic del Rosario, also known as “Boss Vic” in showbiz circles, bombarded the rumors that the Pop Princess has that Grammy perfomance chance.

The Viva top executive also surmised that the rumor is baseless since the Grammys is already set next month (Feb. 10). Aside from that, he added that his office should have received official communication from the award-giving body about Sarah’s participation by this time.

Announced in her official website, January 14, here's the statement regarding her possible inclusion in the performers list:

On the 55th awarding ceremony of Grammy Awards, the organizers would like to invite foreign artists to perform live on the show. According to the report, in every continental region, there must be one performer, and based on the leaked information, the “Concert Queen” Sarah Geronimo is included on the short list.

Reports added that the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (Grammy Awards organizers) recognized the brilliance of Sarah Geronimo when it comes to performances.

I really hope that she STILL gets invited! She'll definitely wow the crowd and bring the Philippines to international spotlight.

The 55th Grammy Awards will be conducted at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. It will be aired live on CBS at 8 PM ET/PT.
