The NU Cheering Squad has unseated three-time streak defender - the UP Pep Squad - in this year's UAAP Cheerdance Competition which was held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. The team, which adapted Arabian theme, also bagged the Group Stunts category award, aside from winning 340k PHP in cash and other prizes.

UP Pep Squad landed second, while the FEU Cheering Squad placed third. The 2013 UAAP Cheerdance Competition was filled with a lot of falls and mistakes compared to last year's which actually declared the same schools as winners which shuffled in different places. Still, kudos to all the schools/performers!

The 2013 UAAP Cheerdance Competition, a UAAP Season 76 highlight, is set to happen today September 15 at SM Mall of Asia Arena (SM MOA).

 

Eight teams will be vying for the coveted championship title, but one big defender tries hard not to be dethroned. Current defending champ, the UP Pep Squad, has won for three (3) straight years already, and has made a record 17 titles (including 8 championship titles). 

The hashtag #915on915 that continuously scatters all throughout social networks means the UP Pep (should it win this year) will be on its 9th win in 15 years, this September 15.

In my opinion, the big two squads to watch out for are last year's 2nd and 3rd placers, the FEU Cheering Squad and the NU Cheer Squadron, which will be performing 1st and fifth, respectively.

Rumor has it that in this year's UAAP CDC, the UP Pep Squad will be unleashing new routines and an exciting theme. More rumors could possibly be true.

The UAAP Cheerdance Competition 2013 will be telecast live at 1:30 PM on Studio 23 and cable channel BALLS HD 167. The UAAP Sports TV website is expected to provide the live streaming video feed this weekend.

The 2013 UAAP CHEERDANCE Competition will take place on September 15, 2013 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Who's team are you betting on, to win in this year's UAAP Season 76 Cheerdance Competition?

Could it be eight-time Champion, the UP Pep Squad? Or will UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe out-strip them of their title? Will the FEU Cheering Squad beat the defending champion this year? Will the NU Cheer Squadron pull off surprises?

The order of performances in the 2013 UAAP Season 76 Cheerdance Competition is as follows:

For those who won't get to buy tickets or watch it in the Arena, the 2013 UAAP Cheerdance Competition will be broadcast live on Studio 23 at around 1:30 pm and via live stream thru UAAP Sports TV. Live streaming may be made available here in Spotlight Philippines on the day of the competition, so keep updated. Like the Spotlight Philippines facebook page (found on the side panels).

It's been announced that SM Tickets will only sell standing tickets on the following section on September 15, 12 nn at Mall of Asia Arena Marina Way Ticket Booth Only.
