In the past two days, some news agencies, UFO hunters, and netizens have been abuzz with this alleged photo - an image of a spaceship (in fact resembling that of Star Wars' Star Destroyer) spotted by NASA's Curiosity rover on the grounds of Mars.
Websites Mirror, Daily Mail, Metro, Yahoo! Brazil, and RT featured the Curiosity spaceship photo in their respective sites. UFO Sightings contributor Scott Waring, in an RT report, believes that the spacecraft was only about 2.5 to 3 meters long, "so it probably only held a few passengers."

While an alleged video scandal of a certain celebrity was the talk of the town in Facebook and Twitter, netizens from the other parts of the world were intrigued by the dark feature seen on the lower left portion of the image below?
The authenticity of the photo, whether or not it was really captured by NASA's Curiosity or it was just photoshopped by attention-seekers, seems to be unclear. Meanwhile, a few Philippine news sites namely Interaksyon and Manila Bulletin wrote about the 'spaceship' discovery as well.
Star Wars fans and alien believers out there are up for the excitement and intrigue brought about by this alleged finding. It is, however, questionable that international news websites didn't have this in their pages? Is there a cover up going on? On another hand, did NASA's Curiosity actually take this photo? Or is this some sort of photo enhancement? Yet a promotion for the upcoming Star Wars film?
Keep thinking. Keep asking.
