A magnitude 5.6 quake shook Central and Southern Luzon at 7:52 PM, sending some residents from as far as Metro Manila out of their high-rise buildings. According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the quake struck 14km NNW of Wawa, Philippines.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) has reported that location of the quake, which measured 5.7 magnitude in its reading, was 13.65°N, 120.54°E – 022 km S 27° W of Calatagan, Batangas
PHIVOLCS head Renato Solidum Jr said the quake was felt at Intensity Five in Puerto Galera, Intensity Four in parts of Bulacan and Metro Manila (Mandaluyong), and Intensity Three in Quezon City.
