Modernize PH Agricultural Sector

With the rise in economic power of some of the most populated countries in the world, like India, China and parts of Africa, food becomes scarce.

Agricultural necessity bubbles up.

Exporting billions of tons of agricultural products, the Philippines has to modernize the agricultural sector to increase its supplies and lower the prices making it more competitive for the PH to sell its agricultural products outside and increase its market share in terms of agricultural trade.

This may lead to higher wages for farmers and provide better lives to about 32% of the country's employed, although it would have little bearing on the country's GDP, which in this case would mean lifting people out of poverty.

Moreover, the need to import rice will be no option since we won't have to heavily depend on rice and agri-food importing countries like the US, Vietnam and Thailand, the top rice exporter of 2010. It is a lingering challenge, and never a choice to forgo, to the Aquino administration to listen to the grievances of the many, whose lives depend on the wages they earn.
