MANILA, Philippines—Three of the eight Hong Kong tourists who were slain in the tourist bus hostage crisis were Canadian citizens, a police spokesman disclosed on Wednesday.
However, Senior Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. would not reveal the names of these victims and would just leave it up to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) to name them.
Cruz said that upon confirmation, the three victims who bore Chinese names were actually Canadian citizens.
Meanwhile, there was still no clarity if autopsy reports will be released today, he added.
