The Liberal Party (LP) announced on Monday its senatorial slate for the 2013 midterm elections at the Club Filipino in Greenhills, San Juan.
The list of the 12 senatorial candidates endorsed by the Liberal Party are the following:
- Senator Loren Legarda
- Senator Francis "Chiz" Escudero
- Senator Koko Pimental
- Senator Allan Cayetano
- Senator Antonio Trillanes IV
- MTRCB chief Grace Poe Lamanzares
- former Las Pinas Representative Cynthia Villar
- former Aurora Representative Sonny Angara
- former Akbayan Party Representative Risa Hontiveros-Baraquel
- former Senator Jamby Madrigal
- former Senator Jun Magsaysay
- President Aquino's cousin Paolo Benigno "Bam" Aquino
Aside from being part of the LP team, Escudero, Legarda, and Poe are guest candidates of rival coalition United Nationalist Alliance (UNA). Meanwhile, the younger Aquino and Magsaysay are the only LP members in the senatorial line-up.
