The last of the four general steps of business registration
in the Philippines is the compliance to certain government agencies’
business-related regulations. One of these agencies where you have to register
your business with is the Pagtutulungan sa Kinabukasan: Ikaw, Bangko,
Industriya at Gobyerno (PAG-IBIG).
As stated in Republic Act 7742, membership to the PAG-IBIG
Fund shall be mandatory for all employees covered by the Social Security System
(SSS) and/or the Government Service Insurance System(GSIS) who are earning at
least P4,000 a month. This coverage extends to expats whose age is up to 60
years old and who are compulsorily covered by the SSS.
Contribution from employees who earn less than P4,000 a
month will be voluntary.
To apply for the PAG-IBIG Fungd, proceed to the Atrium
Building along Makati Avenue in Makati City or any local branch of PAG-IBIG and
pass the following requirements.
