Up to 46 nurses in Taguig-Pateros District Hospital were reportedly dismissed for liking a post on Facebook.
One of the nurses removed from duty said that prior to the incident, she liked a Facebook post made by one volunteer doctor about the incapacity of the hospital to provide for the medical needs of Taguig residents.
The nurses were allegedly not given their certificate of employment by the hospital. Apart from this, no dialogue took place among the concerned parties.
Meanwhile, the city government of Taguig stood up with conviction saying that blatant disobedience of hospital authority and protocols, and creation of intrigues maligning hospital and personnel causing internal discontent led to their termination. It was legal since the nurses' contract ended last year
