This is a list of 10 Filipino Youtubers you might want to follow. You could be wondering right now if I'm following anyone of them. Yes, in fact, I am following some of them inc. I came across his self-titled youtube channel Trick Ramos just a week ago and all I can say is that this youtuber will make it big time.

He identifies himself as a jologs travel vlogger from PH. Watching his travel videos really brighten up my day not just for his awesome video editing but also for the sense of humor he injects in all of them. You won't be closing a tab with his work on it without having that smile drawn on your face. Trick does not run out of ideas when it comes to entertaining his subscribers. What's really enticing is that you'd be surprised at how good he is in impressing people by inserting surprise clips that tickles your sense. There's no doubt this guy will be popular in the coming years. Mark my word.

5. RANZ KYLE

With over 2 million subscribers on Youtube, 1.2 million followers on Facebook, and 1.3 million followers on Instagram, Ranz Kyle together with his sister Niana make up the dancing duo whose bubbly choreographs propelled the Youtube channel to its highs. Ranz Kyle's channel has got a huge following not only in the Philippines but also outside the country.

The channels consists mainly of choreographs, pranks and dance challenges. His most popular video is "When 'Shape of You' by Ed Sheeran Comes Along," a short funny clip showing what happens to a person who gets carried along by his/her song jam, in this case, Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You."

For YOUth: How it feels to be an unemployed graduate

The status of youth unemployment here in the Philippines has been revealed by an alarming report in Interaksyon, the official news portal of TV5 (Kapatid). The report cites that youth unemployment is at an "alarming rate" of 17 percent, which is twice the national average.

I cannot help but agree with what the report contained. It's true. There is a widespread job mismatch and skills shortage, although companies have a lot of unfilled jobs.

Idealist students don't get to grab the job they aspire to. You are called an idealist when you know that you have made great plans for yourself whether or not you included in your goals helping to shape the country's future. 

You yearn to reach six-digit figures at the age of 30 or earlier. You wish to become the manager or a junior executive before you reach 31. You plan on taking your family abroad when you're 32.  You decide to get married if and when you get promoted. You focus yourself on your ideals.

I am one of those unemployed youth being discussed; I, too, am idealist. I studied hard during my last years in college, after I juggled different responsibilities placing academics at a lower priority in my first academic years. Despite being able to graduate, with two flunks, and earning a very satisfactory academic performance, I was one of those graduates who, after being interviewed, were never really called back for a job offer.

I presume idealist graduates have fallen prey to such companies. Worse, you become depressed after not getting any job offer at all.

So, aside from depression, how does it really feel to become unemployed?

I feel troubled, worrying that the idealism which is still in me might leave soon due to the gloomy employment condition that the country is facing. Every time I let time pass me by, I realize I'm closing the gap between reality and idealism - that I might not achieve my dreams.

I feel bum and bored, every time I realize I've got nothing to do other than surfing the internet and looking for job offers all day long.

I feel broke and desolate, knowing that some (not all) of my peers have joined the employed race, started earning for themselves and their families, and meeting new friends to share memories with.

I feel no change at all, seeing that everything that's happening to me from waking up to setting myself to sleep happen by routine since no one's around to talk to and engage in challenging activities.

Despite all these, I try to make it up to a point that I could use up at least a fraction of my time to writing stuff online and sharing my perspectives with you.

I feel that although the lighted urn of idealism has seen its flame slowly die down, there is still hope. I feel optimistic that God has plans for me, as long as I keep on pursuing what I want.

I feel that some day I'll be the greatest person I have always wanted to become.

I feel that this dismaying statistics of Philippine employment  can still be improved by the government.

I feel that those who read this post (you) have realized there's so much thrill and challenge to expect after you graduate high school or college. Expect a lot of trials, disappointments and surprises/

I feel that the youth of today will still continue striving and giving their best to compete with themselves (and not with others) so as to improve the persons that they are and to show to their future employers that they've got what it takes to become part of the company.

Before I end this, I would like to tell all the youth to keep aiming high. Someday, you will be the boosters of the rocket of growth of Philippines. We, the group of unemployed graduates, cannot say that the government has failed us, but it is almost like it.

Aquino Leads Survey

Overthrown president Joseph "Erap" Estrada now competes with Sen. Manuel "Manny" Villar for the second-to-the-highest rating spot, while Sen. Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III overtakes with a 19-pt lead, as supported by the latest survey conducted by Pulse Asia Inc.

Villar's drop in ratings could be due to the rise of negative stories impacting negative voter feedback and lowering his integrity.

MILF Not to Disrupt Elections

The Moro Islamic Liberation Front, Philippines' largest Muslim rebel group, has agreed to help prevent violence on a troubled southern island in Mindanao during conduct of its national and local elections, Major-General Anthony Alcantara said on Saturday. "We have secured a commitment from the rebels not to disrupt the elections on May 10," southern Mindanao’s army commander told Reuters.

Alcantara said the rebels had agreed to ward off any polling precinct and not to disperse their forces from May 3 to 13. "We're not allowing anybody with guns in polling areas except soldiers and police officers," he continued.

On Friday, easefire "panels" from both sides signed an agreement. Toks Ebrahim, head of the MILF's ceasefire negotiators, stated that they would tell their forces to resist violence which would disrupt both the elections and other peace talks. He told media that they we’ll restrain their forces to avoid violence during the elections.

This year’s elections will provide fresh hopes for achieving peace and progress not only in Mindanao but in the whole nation as well. From a pool of ten yearning presidential candidates possessing different plans for the country, only one will get the highest government position in the archipelago.

The newly elected leaders must act fast if we want the Philippines to attain sustainable development and fare well in the international level so as not to get left behind. This will only happen if we choose and put into position the right set of leaders the country has ever needed for such a long time. Vote wisely. Do not settle on the crowd’s favorite or on what people endorse to you. Vote on the candidate whom you really believe in and you would entrust your loved ones’ future.

Election 2010 Update: GPS Trackers for PCOS Machines

April 23, 2010 (Friday) - Director Roberto Rosales says that the National Capital Region Police Office will be mounting GPS (Global Positioning System) trackers on all police patrol vehicles to secure the transport of the Precinct Count Optical Scan (PCOS) machines which will be used come election day.

Teodoro, Aquino Lead in My Online Presidential Poll

I set up a poll online in Boto Mo, Ipatro Mo's multiply site. And, I was shocked that a lot of patrollers online believe that their next president will be Gilbert "Gibo" Teodoro, while Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III follows next to Teodoro. Meanwhile, Aquino's close competitor to the presidential seat, Manuel "Manny" Villar, has not convinced Boto Patrollers that his leadership will bring most of the people to prosperity.
