In a few days, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) will release the list of successful examinees (passers) of the May 2016 Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Board Exam (Licensure Exam) which was held on May 8, 9, 15, and 16 in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, and Legaspi.

The results of the May 2016 Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Board Exam, including the lists of top 10 passers the top 10 performing schools, and the performances of the schools, will be posted here in Spotlight Philippines.

30 out of 146 passed the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination given by the Board of Accountancy in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; Al-Khobar, Jeddah and Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in Doha, Qatar last September 2015, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced.

In several days, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) will release the list of successful examinees (passers) of the overseas Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Board Exam or Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Licensure Exam (SPLBE) which was held on September 24, 25, and 26 in the cities of Riyadh, Jeddah & Al-Khobar, KSA; Abu Dhabi, UAE; Doha, Qatar; and Kuwait.

SPLBE means Special Professional Licensure Board Exam.

The results of the overseas September 2015 Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Board Exam, including the list of top 10 passers, will be posted here in Spotlight Philippines.

1,553 Accounting grads pass May 2013 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Board Exam

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced Tuesday on its website that 1,553 out of 5,665 passed the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Board Exam.

Richard Saavedra of Ateneo de Davao University topped the list of passers with a rating of 96.00. He was then followed by University of San Carlos graduate Mikyll Narvios garnering 95.43. Filling the topnotchers list is Tom Aguilar of University of Baguio obtaining a bold 94.00.

The exam in series was held last May 19, 20, 26 and 27 in the cities of Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, and Manila.

Schedule CPA Board Passers Registration

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has released the schedule of registration of the October 2012 Certified Public Accountants Licensure Examination or CPA Board Exam on Monday.

PRC apologizes for error on CPA Board Exam results

An erratum on the list of passers of the CPA Board Exam conducted in October 2012 has been issued Monday by the Professional Regulation Commission..

The list indicated "that the University of the Philippines – Visayas – Cebu City did not have any board passers,” mentioning that “UP Visayas Cebu City does not offer Accountancy as a course.”

PRC stated that the error happened when the exam taker picked “University of the Philippines – Visayas – Cebu City” instead of “University of the Visayas – Cebu City” from the drop down list while filling out her online application form.

The erroneous data generated by the system was subsequently published along with the results, PRC explained further. PRC apologized to UP Visayas – Cebu City for the “oversight.”

October 2012 CPA Board Passers, Schedule of Registration and Oathtaking

4,772 accountants have successfully passed the recently conducted CPA board exam.These new Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) may begin to apply for a Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration from November 6 (Tuesday) to November 9 (Friday).

Requirements for Registration:

• duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal,
• current Community Tax Certificate (cedula),
• 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag),
• 2 pieces 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete nametag),
• 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and
• 1 short brown envelope with name and profession
• Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2012-2015.

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals. The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination will be announced at a later date.

Topnotchers of October 2012 CPA Board Exam Results

Here are the top 10 placers (top 10 certified public accountants) in the recently concluded CPA Licensure Exam for October 2012.

The top-notchers in the CPA Board Exam (October 2012), both of them, came from the University of Sto. Tomas obtaining a grade of 94.14. Both Bren Cruz and Celaica Vibar topped the licensure examination.

The second spot in the top-notchers list was taken by Trishia Julienne Simeon from UP-Diliman, with a score of 93.71. Rounding up the top three pacers are accountants coming from UP Visayas-Iloilo City and Saint Louis University, garnering 93.57.

The University of the Philippines Diliman (UP Diliman) had a 100% passing rate among schools with 50 or more examinees, with 94 passers out of 94 examinees.

CPA Board Exam Results (October 2012)

The list of passers of the October 2012 Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants (CPA), managed by the Board of Accountancy, have now been released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) after one (1) working day.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Monday announced that 4,772 out of 9,987 passed the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination.

The CPA Board Exam was conducted in the cities of Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi and Manila on October 6, 7, 13, and 14 this year. 

In the meantime, make sure you have reviewed your lessons. I have found a hard-bound compilation of CPA sample exams in National Bookstore. Use it in your review; maybe it could help.
